  • Beetroot Butter Milk- The Summer Cooler You Need To Try

    This colourful variation of Buttermilk will become an instant favourite of your family in summers. With the goodness of Beetroot and Curd, this delicious buttermilk is great for your health and keeps you refreshed. 





    You surely need to add this tasty drink in your summer menu. Chukandar or Beetroot helps in balancing blood flow and on the other hand buttermilk is great for strengthening immunity and aids in digestion.


    Beetroot Buttermilk

    Time: 20 Minutes

    Serves 2-3




    1 Cups of Fresh Curd

    2 Cups Chilled Water

    ½ Cup Chopped & Blanched Beetroot

    ½ Tsp. Chopped Ginger

    4-5 Mint Leaves

    1 Chopped Green Chilli (Optional)

    Salt & Black Pepper to taste

    Pinch of Roasted Cumin Powder



    For Tempering


    2 Tsp. Oil

    3-4 Curry Leaves

    1 Tsp. Mustard Seeds




    • Put Beetroot, water, green chilli, Mint & Coriander in a blender and blend well.
    • Strain the puree through a Sieve.
    • Whisk the curd on a vessel.
    • Add Water, Beetroot Puree and Salt & Pepper to the curd.
    • Heat oil in a pan & prepare the tempering.
    • Pour the tempering in the Buttermilk.
    • Garnish with Cumin Powder and serve chilled.
